Setting up your Pluto account to start investing is a straightforward process! This guide walks you through each step.

Opening a live portfolio and making a Deposit

To start investing and making deposits in our app, you'll first need to open a live account. Here's a step-by-step guide on how you can do this:

  1. On your desktop, locate the "start investing" button on the left side taskbar. If you're using a mobile device, you can find the "start investing" button in the dropdown menu located at the top right-hand corner of your screen.

  2. Click on the "start investing" button. You'll be led through the process of opening a live account. Please ensure the information provided is accurate to avoid any delays in the approval process.

  3. Once your live account application has been submitted, it will undergo a review process. You'll be notified as soon as your application has been approved. Please be patient as this process might take some time depending on various factors.

After you've opened your live account, you're all set to deposit funds into your Pluto account:

  1. Locate and click on the "Deposit" button, which is conveniently located in the top right corner of your live portfolio page. Alternatively, you can head over to the "Records" tab in your portfolio. There, you'll find the "Transaction" button. Click on this and select "Deposit".

  2. Pluto uses Plaid to ensure the secure connection of your account and to protect your sensitive information. Follow the prompts to connect your bank account.

  3. After your bank account has been successfully connected, you can proceed to deposit funds.

And that's it! You have successfully deposited funds into your Pluto account. If you encounter any problems along the way, don't hesitate to reach out to our customer service team.

Making a Withdrawal

To access and manage your funds in your Pluto account, you'll need to use the "Records" and "Transactions" tabs within your portfolio. Here's how you can withdraw funds:

  1. Start by navigating to the "Records" tab in your portfolio. This tab is designed to help you keep track of your financial activities within your Pluto account.

  2. In the "Records" tab, find and click on "Transaction".

  3. Select "Withdrawal" from the available options. This initiates the process of transferring funds from your Pluto account to your bank account.

  4. After clicking "Withdrawal", you will be directed through a series of prompts. Be sure to follow these prompts closely and enter all necessary information accurately.

  5. Once you've completed the prompts and confirmed your withdrawal, the requested funds will be transferred from your Pluto account to your bank account. The processing time may vary depending on your bank, so please allow some time for the transaction to be completed.

Activating an automation/strategy in my Pluto account?

Activating an automation or a strategy in your Pluto account can enhance your investment experience by automating specific investment actions. To do this, follow the steps below:

  1. Start by navigating to your portfolio page. On your desktop, locate and click the "Automation" button, which can be found in the top right corner of the page. If you're using a mobile device, you can find the "Automation" button in the "Overview" tab.

  2. After clicking "automations," select the strategy that you would like to add to your portfolio. Select the version of that automation you would like to activate.

  3. The final step involves designating the amount of capital you'd like to allocate to the chosen strategy. Enter the amount you're willing to invest through this automation and confirm your selection.

Once you've completed these steps, your chosen automation or strategy will be active within your Pluto account. It will start to automatically execute trades based on the rules of the chosen strategy, within the limits of the allocated capital.

Currently, Pluto is available to U.S. residents aged 18 years or older. There are no initial deposit requirements or account minimums.
